Wallsend Parks

Three linked parks in central Wallsend (Richardson Dees Park, Wallsend Old Hall Grounds, Prince Road Arboretum).

Formal and woodland areas. Path network, some broad and hard surfaced, others informal. Some steep inclines beyond the formal park.

In wet conditions, some grassed areas can become slippery.

Metro (Wallsend) and several bus routes within 10 to 15 minutes walk.

Course checked 18/5/26: A programme of post renewals has recently taken place.
Orienteering controls are usually on defined features. Over the years some features here have become vague and some marker replacements placed slightly away from the original feature. Some replacement markers have no control number.

Control 16: site as marked on the map is now inaccessible but a repeater is mounted on nearby bridge end .
