Rising Sun Country Park
Extensive and mature country park on the site of the former Rising Sun Colliery.
Woodland, water features and open grassland. Much level terrain. One substantial hill.
Transport: Metro (Palmersville 750m.) and local buses (to Benton Asda)
May 2025: Marker 24 as shown on the map has emerged from vegetation but the temporary replacement (same number & code) remains on a trail post at the major track junction 100 m. WNW.
Marker 30 (on a low stump like post) is in place, but the path junction no longer exists. Look carefully at ground level on the north side of the path.
