Plessey Wood Country Park, Bedlington
Country Park in a loop of the River Blyth, part wooded, part open grassland.
The Visitor Centre/Cafe is currently being redeveloped. Building plant has caused very muddy conditions in the open areaopposite the building. Orienteers should not try and cross the wet muddy ruts but skirt the edge of the open area or temporarily omit nearby controls.
Note that one marker has no code. Enter X or O on your control card.
A landslip has closed the riverside path leading to #33 which has been removed from the map.
A new control (#39) has been placed at the foot of the first set of steps north of #31.
Extra care should be taken on the river edge paths in wet, slippery conditions and/or if the river is high.
