Peel Park

Peel Park and the Coppice provide a great area for orienteering. The steep wooded slopes give onto an area of rough open moorland with dotted trees and drainange channels. There is a good path network to facilitate courses at all levels and a great view from the top !

The POC is still useable but is due for renovating. Start and Finish are just up the hill slightly from the play area near the bowling club. The Start/Finish post is currently missing. Also missing is post K. All other posts are present as of Feb 2026 but the posts are shorter than more modern posts and some are quite overgrown. The map is also due some updates. Hopefully work to improve the state of the POC wil be done by the end of 2026
