Mendip Orienteering
There is no need to book in advance, the course is open all daylight hours that the centre is open. Just turn up and our friendly reception team will get you checked in and briefly explain how to orienteer. Head out in small teams, individuals or pairs and compete for the best time! Remember, it is not always who runs fastest that gets back first, accurate navigation is key!
Once you have returned punch in to the final control either with your scorecard or smartphone and head up to the Alpine Lounge for some well earned refreshments. Alternatively, head back out onto the course again and try and beat your previous time - you can compete as many times as you like in one day at no extra cost!
The course is set amongst our hilly, woodland area. Please dress appropriately with sturdy footwear. It gets VERY muddy if it has been raining so do be very careful.
The course is suitable for all ages. Children under the age of 16 may attempt the course unsupervised at their parent/guardians discretion.
You can mark your way around the course either by pin punch or using a smartphone. If you wish to use your phone, you will need to download the iOrienteering QR code app (free). Your phone will need internet access (3G, 4G) whilst on the course to record your time.

Maps, instructions and briefing are included in the day pass fees and participants are welcome to return for a second course within that time.
Mendip Pursuits are happy to provide coaching for both individuals and groups and will set up coaching exercises and courses to suit their specific needs ~ prices on application.

Mendip Snowsport Centre forms the central part of our 250 acre activity site. Our scenic woodland setting, 165 metre winding dry slope, chalet style buildings, alpine inspired rooftop cafe-bar, viewing balcony and commanding views make our snowsport centre feel like a genuine alpine resort.
Mendip Snowsport Centre is Somerset's only ski and snowboard activity centre. Located on the edge of the Mendip Hills, just off the A38, half way between Weston-super-Mare and Bristol we are ideally located for anyone in the South West.
