Creag Meagaidh
Orienteer around the paths of Creag Meagaidh National Nature Reserve. Parking is free, there is a toilet on-site and a chance to enjoy great views and tranquillity. If you enjoyed the orienteering, please do consider making a donation of £1 - £2 to the nature reserve in the collection box on site which will go towards maintaining the nature reserve and the orienteering course.
There are two courses available, of increasing difficulty. Find the controls in the order shown.
Short Course - 1.4 km
A relatively short and simpler course ideal for beginners of families with small children. Find the controls in order. It will probably take about 20-40 minutes depending on how much time is spent enjoying the forest. The course follows established paths around the nature reserve. Most of the course is pushchair friendly, apart from control #5 which requires ascending up to the flagpole (pushchair friendly diversion around is possible).
Long Course - 2.8 km
Longer and more difficult than the Short Course, but still aimed at beginners. It will probably take 40 - 60 minutes to walk around. If in doubt, try the Short Course first. The course follows established paths.
